Resumen
La incidencia de la enfermedad de Cushing en el oeste de Noruega es mayor que la reportada anteriormente. El éxito del tratamiento para la enfermedad de Cushing depende de las características del tumor, lo que requiere estrategias terapéuticas personalizadas.

- La enfermedad de Cushing es el resultado de un adenoma pituitario que secreta la hormona adrenocorticotrópica (ACTH), causando una producción excesiva de cortisol.
- Este estudio se centra en la incidencia, la presentación clínica y los resultados del tratamiento de la enfermedad de Cushing en el oeste de Noruega.

- Las tasas de remisión variaron según el tamaño del tumor: 2/7 macroadenomas, 12/21 microadenomas, 6/14 con resonancia magnética no concluyente.
Conclusiones:
- El oeste de Noruega muestra una mayor incidencia de la enfermedad de Cushing que otros estudios europeos.
- Los resultados del tratamiento están vinculados a las características del tumor, haciendo hincapié en los planes de tratamiento individualizados.
