Principales resultados:
- En un umbral de anormalidad de 0,5, AI-CAD demostró una alta pseudo-sensibilidad (95,6%) pero una baja pseudo-especificidad (28,1%) y un valor predictivo positivo (PPV) (18,4%).
- El área bajo la curva ROC fue de 0,820; el área bajo la curva PRC fue de 0,489.
- El aumento del umbral a 0,68 mejoró el ahorro de pruebas (42%), pero aumentó los casos perdidos (10%); el rendimiento varió según los factores demográficos y el entorno.
Conclusiones:
- AI-CAD tiene potencial para ampliar la detección de la tuberculosis y avanzar en los esfuerzos de eliminación de la tuberculosis en Filipinas.
- La calibración del umbral es crucial, adaptándose a la disponibilidad de recursos locales, la prevalencia de la TB y los objetivos del programa.
- Las parcelas ROC y PRC son valiosas para evaluar el rendimiento y la rentabilidad del modelo en entornos de recursos limitados.
