Sus antecedentes:

  • La hiperplasia adenomatoide (AH) es una lesión intraoral poco común caracterizada por agregados lobulares de glándulas salivales hiperplásticas (SG).
  • La hiperplasia adenomatoide de las glándulas salivales menores (AHMSG) puede imitar los tumores benignos o malignos de las glándulas salivales, lo que plantea desafíos de diagnóstico.

Objetivo del estudio:

  • Informar de tres casos de hiperplasia adenomatoide de las glándulas salivales menores (AHMSG).
  • Describir las características histopatológicas e inmunohistoquímicas del AHMSG.
  • Enfatizar la importancia de reconocer el AHMSG para evitar errores de diagnóstico.

Principales métodos:

  • Se han reportado tres casos de pacientes con AHMSG.
  • Examen histopatológico del tejido lesionado.
  • Análisis inmunohistoquímico utilizando marcadores como el CAM 5.2, el CK7, el EMA, el CEA, el p63, el SMA, el SOX10 y el Ki67.

Principales resultados:

  • Se identificaron tres casos de AHMSG: dos en el paladar duro y uno en el labio inferior.
  • La histopatología reveló lóbulos agrandados de mucosa o acini mixtos con conductos dilatados y estroma fibroso.
  • La inmunohistoquímica mostró patrones de tinción específicos para las células acinares, mioepiteliales y ductales, con un bajo índice de etiquetado Ki67 (1-5%).

Conclusiones:

  • La hiperplasia adenomatóide de las glándulas salivales menores (AHMSG) requiere un reconocimiento cuidadoso para evitar el sobrediagnóstico como malignidad o el subdiagnóstico como cambios benignos.
  • Una evaluación histopatológica e inmunohistoquímica precisa es esencial para el diagnóstico correcto de AHMSG.
  • Comprender las características de AHMSG ayuda a distinguirlo de las verdaderas neoplasias de las glándulas salivales.
