El cumplimiento de las directrices de la Campaña de Sobrevivencia a la Sepsis (SSC, por sus siglas en inglés) para pacientes neuroquirúrgicos con sepsis reduce significativamente la mortalidad y acorta las estadías en la unidad de cuidados intensivos (UCI, por sus siglas en inglés). La implementación temprana del protocolo SSC mejora los resultados, reduciendo la necesidad de ventilación y vasopresores.
