Objetivo del estudio:

  • Identificar y analizar las tendencias temáticas y los campos de investigación relacionados con la utilización del exoscopio en neurocirugía.
  • Proporcionar información sobre las posibles direcciones de investigación futuras en el campo.

Principales métodos:

  • Análisis bibliométrico de artículos y reseñas publicados entre el 1 de enero de 2002 y el 31 de diciembre de 2023.
  • Datos obtenidos de Scopus, con análisis realizados con Microsoft Excel y VOSviewer.
  • Los criterios de inclusión se centraron en las publicaciones relativas a los exoscopios en neurocirugía.

Principales resultados:

  • Se analizaron un total de 186 artículos, con un notable aumento en las publicaciones de 2018 a 2022.
  • Los Estados Unidos lideraron en publicaciones y citas; Brasil tuvo el índice de citación promedio más alto.
  • La cirugía cerebral fue la solicitud más frecuente (87 artículos), seguida por la cirugía de la columna vertebral (25 artículos).
  • Palabras clave como "ergonomía" y "imágenes tridimensionales" fueron prominentes en las investigaciones recientes.

Conclusiones:

  • La investigación exoscópica en neurocirugía ha mostrado un crecimiento significativo, particularmente en los últimos años.
  • La colaboración es fuerte entre las naciones desarrolladas, con un enfoque en aplicaciones del cerebro y la columna vertebral.
  • Los hallazgos ponen de relieve las fronteras emergentes de la investigación y la creciente importancia de los exoscopios en la visualización y la práctica neuroquirúrgica.
