Sus antecedentes:

  • Los desafíos éticos son comunes en la práctica psiquiátrica.
  • Muchos hospitales psiquiátricos alemanes luchan por establecer servicios de apoyo a la ética clínica (CESS).

Objetivo del estudio:

  • Ofrecer y evaluar un programa de apoyo a la aplicación del CESS en los hospitales psiquiátricos alemanes.
  • Identificar los obstáculos y facilitadores encontrados durante la implementación del CESS.

Principales métodos:

  • Apoyo a la implementación en línea a cuatro hospitales psiquiátricos durante 14 meses.
  • Reuniones regulares de apoyo con los miembros del comité de ética del hospital.
  • Análisis cualitativo del contenido de las transcripciones de los grupos focales y de los protocolos de las reuniones de apoyo.

Principales resultados:

  • Las principales barreras incluían la falta de recursos (financieros, de tiempo), el conocimiento insuficiente de la consulta ética y la dificultad para distinguir cuestiones éticas de cuestiones médicas/legales.
  • Se identificaron como facilitadores los comités de ética interdisciplinarios, el apoyo a la gestión y las estrategias de sensibilización.
  • El programa de apoyo en línea resultó útil para resolver problemas e identificar los próximos pasos, lo que condujo a mejoras en la implementación del CESS.

Conclusiones:

  • El personal adecuado y los recursos de tiempo son cruciales para superar los obstáculos estructurales de la aplicación.
  • Los programas de apoyo son prometedores para mejorar la implementación del CESS en entornos psiquiátricos.
  • El establecimiento del CESS es vital para abordar los desafíos éticos en la atención psiquiátrica.
