Están surgiendo nuevas terapias para el cáncer hepatobiliar, dirigidas al sistema inmunológico y a objetivos previamente no farmacológicos. Los ensayos clínicos están explorando nuevas inmunoterapias, terapias celulares y conjugados de anticuerpos y medicamentos para cánceres de hígado y conductos biliares.

- Exploración de nuevos objetivos y enfoques para objetivos tradicionalmente no farmacológicos.

- Dos direcciones principales en el desarrollo de fármacos: modulación del sistema inmunológico y orientación hacia objetivos nuevos/no farmacológicos.
