Resumen

Los elementos meteorológicos tienen un impacto significativo en las características de las nubes. Este estudio revela distintos comportamientos de nubes tropicales y templadas, con un contenido de vapor de agua exponencialmente correlacionado con la temperatura, especialmente en las nubes de cirros.

Objetivo del estudio:

  • Analizar la relación entre los tipos/fases de nubes y los elementos meteorológicos sobre China.
  • Investigar la influencia de la temperatura, la humedad relativa y la humedad específica en la formación y las propiedades de las nubes.

Principales métodos:

  • Se utilizaron los productos VFM de nivel 2 de CALIOP y los datos del nuevo análisis ERA5.
  • Métodos estadísticos empleados, incluido el análisis bidimensional de la función de densidad de probabilidad y el ajuste lineal.
  • Se ha definido y analizado la saturabilidad del contenido de vapor de agua utilizando la fórmula de Tetens.

Principales resultados:

  • Se identificaron distintas regiones de nubes tropicales y templadas basadas en la humedad relativa y la temperatura.
  • Se observaron tendencias lineales similares para altocumulus y altostratus transparentes, lo que indica relaciones consistentes de temperatura y humedad en entornos de nubes de fase mixta.
  • Encontró una correlación exponencial entre el contenido de vapor de agua y la temperatura en áreas de alta probabilidad de aparición de nubes.
  • Se determinó que la saturabilidad del contenido de vapor de agua aumenta con la disminución de la temperatura, particularmente en las nubes cirrus.

Conclusiones:

  • El tipo y la fase de las nubes están fuertemente vinculados a las condiciones meteorológicas de fondo.
  • La temperatura y la humedad juegan un papel crítico en la formación de nubes, con patrones distintos para diferentes tipos de nubes.
  • El contenido de vapor de agua y sus niveles de saturación son sensibles a la temperatura, lo que ofrece información sobre la microfísica de las nubes.
