  • La estructura de la tarea influye en el compromiso del módulo cognitivo de acuerdo con teorías organizacionales dinámicas y graduadas.

Objetivo del estudio:

  • Investigar las funciones cognitivas que predicen el rendimiento en una tarea compleja de AP (spoonerismo).
  • Examinar la relación entre la memoria de trabajo, la atención ejecutiva y el rendimiento de la cuchara en estudiantes de cuarto grado.

Principales métodos:

  • Evaluó a 115 estudiantes italianos de cuarto grado en una tarea de cuchara.
  • Utilizó evaluaciones de memoria de trabajo verbales (prueba de intervalo alfa) y visuoespaciales (tarea de actualización de objetos).
  • Empleó modelos gráficos gaussianos para analizar las asociaciones de la función cognitiva.

Principales resultados:

  • Una menor capacidad de memoria de trabajo se correlaciona con un peor rendimiento de la cuchara.
  • El rendimiento de Spoonerism mostró fuertes asociaciones con la memoria de trabajo visuoespacial (tarea de actualización de objetos, r = 0,47) y la memoria de trabajo verbal (prueba de intervalo alfa, r = 0,33).
  • Los resultados subrayan el papel importante de la memoria de trabajo general en tareas fonológicas complejas.

Conclusiones:

  • Las tareas complejas de AP involucran sistemas cognitivos más amplios más allá del procesamiento fonológico.
  • Los hallazgos apoyan las teorías de modularidad dinámica donde las demandas de tareas dan forma a la participación del módulo cognitivo.
  • En los niños, la dependencia de la atención ejecutiva para estas tareas sugiere una automatización incompleta y destaca la necesidad de intervenciones específicas y multicomponentes para las dificultades de lectura.
