Objetivo del estudio:

  • Abordar la necesidad de herramientas computacionales y estadísticas eficientes para la selección de características en datos genómicos de alta dimensión.
  • Evaluar el rendimiento de diferentes algoritmos de selección de características para la clasificación de razas utilizando datos genómicos.

Principales métodos:

  • Se aplicaron tres algoritmos de selección de características: etiquetado SNP, agregación de rango supervisada unidimensional (1D-SRA) y agregación de rango supervisada multidimensional (MD-SRA).
  • Se clasificaron 1825 individuos en cinco razas utilizando 11,915,233 polimorfismos de nucleótido único (SNP).
  • Utilizó un clasificador de aprendizaje profundo (redes neuronales convolucionales) para la clasificación de razas.

Principales resultados:

  • El etiquetado SNP logró una puntuación F1 del 86,87% con un cálculo rápido.
  • 1D-SRA ofreció la mejor calidad de clasificación (96,81%), pero se enfrentó a limitaciones computacionales, de memoria y de almacenamiento.
  • MD-SRA demostró un equilibrio entre la calidad de la clasificación (95,12%) y la eficiencia computacional (17 veces más rápido, 14 veces menos almacenamiento).

Conclusiones:

  • MD-SRA es un enfoque adecuado y eficiente para clasificar datos de alta dimensión, que ofrece un equilibrio entre la precisión y los recursos computacionales.
  • Los métodos basados en SRA son versátiles y aplicables más allá del análisis de datos genómicos.
