Objetivo del estudio:

  • Para detallar un innovador modelo de enfermería virtual diseñado para optimizar la prestación de atención aguda.
  • Describir la estrategia de implementación, las tácticas de cambio y el proceso de escalado de este modelo.
  • Explorar los principios fundamentales y los aprendizajes de la adopción en toda la empresa.

Principales métodos:

  • Desarrollo y creación de prototipos de un nuevo modelo de prestación de cuidados que involucre a enfermeras de cabecera, socios de atención y tecnología.
  • Implementación sistemática en 2500 camas utilizando una metodología de cambio enfocada.
  • Aplicación de los principios de la Ciencia del Cuidado Humano y la Coordinación Relacional como habilitadores centrales.

Principales resultados:

  • Desarrollo exitoso, creación de prototipos y pruebas del modelo de enfermería virtual.
  • Decisión de todo el sistema para escalar y mantener el modelo en todos los hospitales de cuidados intensivos en función de los resultados positivos.
  • Se ha demostrado la viabilidad de la aplicación de modelos innovadores para hacer frente a la escasez de enfermeras.

Conclusiones:

  • El modelo de enfermería virtual ofrece una solución viable a la escasez de enfermeras registradas y mejora la prestación de atención hospitalaria.
  • El éxito de la escala en toda la empresa pone de relieve la adaptabilidad y la eficacia del modelo.
  • Se necesitan más investigaciones para explorar las implicaciones a largo plazo y optimizar las prácticas de enfermería virtual.
