Objetivo del estudio:

  • Evaluar la viabilidad y aceptabilidad de una intervención en línea específica de la cultura para reducir el estigma de la esquizofrenia entre los estudiantes de enfermería.
  • Evaluar la eficacia de la intervención para mejorar el conocimiento, las actitudes y la empatía hacia las personas con esquizofrenia.

Principales métodos:

  • Un ensayo piloto controlado aleatorio en el que participaron 60 estudiantes de cuarto año de enfermería.
  • Un programa de intervención en línea de 4 semanas frente a un grupo de control leyendo un libro.
  • Conocimiento utilizado sobre la prueba de esquizofrenia (KAST), la escala de actitudes de los médicos de enfermedades mentales (MICA), la escala de comportamiento informado e intencionado (RIBS) y la escala de empatía de Jefferson (JSE).

Principales resultados:

  • La intervención fue factible y aceptable, con altas tasas de asistencia.
  • Se observaron mejoras significativas en el grupo experimental para las puntuaciones de KAST, RIBS, MICA y JSE después de la intervención y en el seguimiento.
  • El grupo de control no mostró cambios significativos en las puntuaciones MICA, RIBS o JSE.

Conclusiones:

  • Una intervención en línea específica de la cultura china es factible y bien recibida para reducir el estigma de la esquizofrenia en los estudiantes de enfermería.
  • La intervención efectivamente mejoró el conocimiento, redujo las actitudes negativas y aumentó la empatía.
  • Este enfoque es prometedor para la mejora de la asistencia sanitaria mental en el futuro.
