Sus antecedentes:

  • Los proveedores de atención primaria se adaptaron rápidamente durante el COVID-19 debido a la falta de orientación específica.
  • Las lecciones aprendidas de estas adaptaciones son cruciales para la planificación de futuras pandemias.
  • Se necesita un modelo formalizado para integrar estrategias exitosas de respuesta a pandemias de atención primaria.

Objetivo del estudio:

  • Desarrollar un modelo replicable para la planificación de pandemias en la atención primaria.
  • Integrar las adaptaciones exitosas en las futuras estrategias de preparación para pandemias.
  • Facilitar la difusión de estrategias eficaces de respuesta a las pandemias a nivel internacional.

Principales métodos:

  • Un diseño pragmático y secuencial de métodos mixtos que incluya una revisión del alcance, un ejercicio de establecimiento de prioridades y la creación de un plan.
  • Revisión del alcance (julio de 2025) para identificar los apoyos esenciales de respuesta a la pandemia para la atención primaria.
  • Diálogos deliberativos y proceso de Delphi con más de 100 participantes para el establecimiento de prioridades, seguido de la creación conjunta de planes.

Principales resultados:

  • Identificación de los apoyos esenciales para la respuesta a la pandemia de atención primaria en múltiples niveles (clínica, comunidad, regional, provincial).
  • Priorizar los apoyos a través de la participación de las partes interesadas (proveedores de atención primaria, salud pública, administradores de sistemas de salud).
  • Creación conjunta de planes de respuesta a la pandemia a nivel clínico, comunitario y regional para el suroeste de Ontario.

Conclusiones:

  • El modelo desarrollado proporciona un marco para la planificación pandémica de atención primaria.
  • El modelo está diseñado para replicarse en diversos entornos, mejorando la preparación para pandemias globales.
  • La difusión a través de conferencias, publicaciones y un conjunto de herramientas promoverá la investigación e informará los esfuerzos futuros.
