Sus antecedentes:

  • La traducción efectiva del conocimiento es crucial para mejorar la prestación de atención al autismo.

Objetivo del estudio:

  • Para resumir las recomendaciones del programa de autismo de ECHO Ontario.
  • Evaluar la adopción de estas recomendaciones por parte de los proveedores comunitarios.
  • Identificar las razones de la no ejecución y evaluar el impacto percibido del programa.

Principales métodos:

  • Análisis de 32 casos presentados por 18 médicos, dando lugar a 289 recomendaciones.
  • Encuestas específicas para evaluar la aplicación de las recomendaciones y el impacto clínico.
  • Análisis inductivo del contenido de las respuestas de los proveedores con respecto a las recomendaciones rechazadas y el impacto del programa.

Principales resultados:

  • Se aplicaron el 74% (214/289) de las recomendaciones.
  • Las razones principales de la no implementación están relacionadas con los factores infantiles y familiares.
  • Los proveedores informaron influencias positivas en el enfoque de atención, las capacidades de diagnóstico y las interacciones interpersonales.

Conclusiones:

  • Las recomendaciones de ECHO Ontario Autism demuestran una absorción moderada a alta en la práctica.
  • El programa ofrece beneficios más allá de las recomendaciones específicas de cada caso, mejorando la capacidad general del proveedor y la calidad de la atención.
