Objetivo del estudio:

  • Investigar la relación entre la ansiedad por enfermedad y la culpa interpersonal.
  • Explorar las asociaciones entre la ansiedad por enfermedad y la ansiedad general, la depresión, la alexitimia y la reactividad autónoma.
  • Examinar la influencia de los factores sociodemográficos y las experiencias infantiles en la ansiedad por enfermedad.

Principales métodos:

  • 201 participantes completaron cuestionarios validados que evaluaban la ansiedad por enfermedad, la culpa interpersonal, la ansiedad, la depresión, la alexitimia, el funcionamiento de la personalidad y la reactividad autónoma.
  • Se recogieron datos sociodemográficos y experiencias infantiles.
  • Se realizaron análisis de correlación y regresión múltiple jerárquica.

Principales resultados:

  • La ansiedad por enfermedad se asoció positivamente con la culpa interpersonal, la ansiedad general, la depresión, la alexitimia y la reactividad autónoma.
  • La culpa de la separación / deslealtad y la culpa de la carga estaban más fuertemente relacionadas con la ansiedad por enfermedad.
  • La ansiedad general surgió como el predictor más fuerte de la ansiedad por enfermedad, seguido por la culpa de la separación / deslealtad y la reactividad autónoma.

Conclusiones:

  • La culpa interpersonal parece ser un factor crucial en el mantenimiento de la ansiedad por la enfermedad.
  • La combinación de ansiedad, separación/culpa de deslealtad y sobre-reactividad autónoma contribuye a la ansiedad por enfermedad.
  • Las intervenciones terapéuticas dirigidas a la culpa y la regulación autónoma pueden mejorar los resultados para las personas con ansiedad por enfermedad.
