Concrete structures in cold climates, such as those along roadsides, can retain moisture. This moisture makes them susceptible to frost-related damage when temperatures fall below freezing.   • Para reconstruir los cambios de los glaciares en Tayikistán en las últimas dos décadas (1999-2023).
  • Para identificar los factores detrás de las recientes disminuciones en la salud de los glaciares.
  • Evaluar el impacto de las condiciones cambiantes de nieve en el equilibrio de masa y la escorrentía de los glaciares.

Principales métodos:

  • Utilizó observaciones in situ, reanálisis del clima y datos de teledetección.
  • Forzó un modelo de la superficie terrestre para simular la dinámica de los glaciares.
  • Analizó los cambios en las nevadas, la profundidad de la nieve y el equilibrio de masa de los glaciares.

Principales resultados:

  • Se ha observado una disminución significativa de las nevadas y la profundidad de la nieve desde 2018.
