Resumen

La hipocalemia grave, una causa rara de rabdomiolisis, se relacionó con el hiperaldosteronismo en un paciente con un carcinoma suprarrenal. El diagnóstico rápido y la suplementación con potasio mejoraron los síntomas, destacando la importancia de considerar el hiperaldosteronismo en casos similares.

Objetivo del estudio:

  • Para investigar el vínculo entre la rabdomiolisis, la hipocalemia severa y un trastorno endocrino subyacente.
  • Para resaltar el hiperaldosteronismo como una causa rara pero crítica de la rabdomiolisis.
  • Para reportar un caso de carcinoma suprarrenal presentado con rabdomiolisis inducida por hipocalemia.

Principales métodos:

  • Presentación clínica de una mujer de 49 años con dolor muscular y salud en declive.
  • El análisis de laboratorio reveló rabdomiolisis y hipocalemia severa.
