    La modulación de vectores de modo (MVM) ofrece un nuevo enfoque para las interconexiones ópticas en centros de datos y supercomputadoras AGI. Este método aprovecha los modos espaciales y de polarización para una mayor eficiencia de ancho de banda que la modulación de amplitud de pulso M-aria (M-PAM) tradicional.

    Sus antecedentes:

    • Los centros de datos hiperscalares y las supercomputadoras AGI requieren interconexiones ópticas escalables y de alta velocidad.
    • Las redes actuales utilizan la modulación de amplitud de pulso M-aria (M-PAM) con detección directa (DD) a través de hebras de fibra paralelas (multiplexación por división espacial).
    • Se proponen fibras multicanal (MCF) para reducir el recuento de fibras y simplificar la conectividad.

    Conclusiones:

    • La modulación de vectores de modo (MVM) ofrece un enfoque prometedor y eficiente en ancho de banda para futuras interconexiones ópticas de detección directa.
    • Las arquitecturas de receptor MVM y los algoritmos DSP desarrollados mejoran la practicidad de esta tecnología.
    • MVM puede superar las limitaciones de los sistemas M-PAM tradicionales en entornos informáticos exigentes.
