Sus antecedentes:

  • Las intervenciones endovasculares periféricas de cirugía mayor ambulatoria se adoptan cada vez más debido a los avances tecnológicos.; Los hospitales rurales enfrentan desafíos en la adopción de modelos de alta el mismo día debido al acceso limitado a servicios de emergencia.

Objetivo del estudio:

  • Evaluar la seguridad y viabilidad del alta el mismo día después de intervenciones endovasculares periféricas.; Evaluar los resultados de los procedimientos de cirugía mayor ambulatoria en un entorno de atención médica rural.

Principales métodos:

  • Estudio retrospectivo de 221 pacientes sometidos a 237 intervenciones arteriales periféricas durante 24 meses.; Datos recopilados de una base de datos de radiología intervencionista mantenida prospectivamente.; Criterio de valoración principal: alta segura el mismo día; Criterio de valoración secundario: eventos adversos e ingresos no planificados.

Principales resultados:

  • El 92,8% de los pacientes fueron dados de alta de forma segura el mismo día.; La tasa de éxito técnico fue del 90% con una tasa de complicaciones del 5%. Un 7,2% de los pacientes requirieron ingreso hospitalario no planificado.

Conclusiones:

  • El alta el mismo día para intervenciones endovasculares periféricas es segura y factible en áreas rurales.; Las bajas tasas de complicaciones y readmisión respaldan la adopción universal de este modelo de atención.
