Sus antecedentes:
- El Objetivo de Desarrollo Sostenible (ODS) 3.2 tiene como objetivo reducir la tasa de mortalidad de menores de cinco años (TMI) a menos de 25 muertes por cada 1000 nacidos vivos para 2030.
- África Subsahariana enfrenta desafíos en la supervivencia infantil, con altas TMI y progreso estancado.
- Las tendencias de la TMI en Kenia son críticas para evaluar las estrategias de supervivencia infantil.
Conclusiones:
- La TMI de Kenia ha disminuido significativamente, pero es poco probable que se alcance el objetivo del ODS 3.2 para 2030 sin intervenciones mejoradas.
- Acelerar el progreso requiere mejoras en los servicios de salud materna e infantil, intervenciones comunitarias y abordar los determinantes sociales.
