Sus antecedentes:

  • Los residentes de vecindarios socialmente desfavorecidos, que a menudo enfrentan una mayor vulnerabilidad social, tienen menos probabilidades de inscribirse en las ACO.
  • Comprender el impacto de las ACO en los pagos de Medicare para pacientes con ADRD en áreas vulnerables es crucial para una política de atención médica equitativa.

Principales resultados:

  • La inscripción en ACO redujo significativamente los pagos totales de Medicare en todas las subcategorías de SVI.
  • Los ahorros más sustanciales se observaron en vecindarios con alta presencia de minorías.
  • Las ACO de mayor calidad y la inscripción continua se asociaron con pagos totales de Medicare progresivamente más bajos, con una reducción del 7% en las ACO de mayor calidad.

Conclusiones:

  • Las ACO reducen efectivamente el gasto de Medicare para pacientes con ADRD, particularmente en poblaciones socialmente vulnerables.
