El avance de la inteligencia artificial (IA) corre el riesgo de deshumanizar la ciencia al reemplazar el pensamiento humano con la lógica algorítmica. El ensayo aboga por instituciones relacionales y a pequeña escala para proteger los valores humanos frente al dominio tecnocrático de la IA.

Sus antecedentes:

  • Se examina críticamente el avance de la inteligencia artificial (IA) dentro de contextos históricos y filosóficos.
  • La IA se considera una continuación de la deshumanización de la ciencia, reemplazando el pensamiento humanista con procesos algorítmicos.
  • Los debates filosóficos contemporáneos y el pensamiento latinoamericano sobre ciencia y tecnología informan el análisis.

Objetivo del estudio:

  • Reflexionar críticamente sobre los efectos multifacéticos de la IA en la subjetividad humana, el trabajo y las instituciones sociales.
  • Cuestionar el resurgimiento contemporáneo de la idea de progreso impulsada por la IA.
  • Proponer modelos institucionales alternativos que preserven los valores humanos frente al control tecnocrático.

Principales métodos:

  • Análisis crítico del impacto de la IA a través de la lente de los estudios de ciencia y tecnología latinoamericanos.
  • Compromiso con conceptos filosóficos de pensadores como Gadamer, Arendt y Sadin.
  • Examen de la tendencia de la IA a objetivar sujetos y suprimir el lenguaje humano y la acción política.

Principales resultados:

  • La lógica algorítmica de la IA amenaza con objetivar a los sujetos humanos y disminuir el pensamiento relacional y simbólico.
  • El concepto de progreso, cuando es impulsado por la IA, exhibe un antihumanismo radical y busca una racionalidad hegemónica.
  • El avance de la IA representa un riesgo significativo para la acción política, la otredad y el lenguaje humano.

Conclusiones:

  • Abogacía por la recuperación de modelos institucionales pequeños, relacionales y artesanales.
  • Énfasis en la salvaguardia de los valores y prácticas humanas frente al dominio tecnocrático.
  • Un llamado urgente para reconfigurar las prácticas sociales y políticas para abordar los efectos de la IA en la sociedad.
