Sus antecedentes:

Los chatbots de inteligencia artificial (IA) son cada vez más utilizados por los pacientes para obtener información sobre la salud.; Los pacientes buscan respuestas a preguntas dentales a través de chatbots de IA.; Es necesaria la evaluación de la precisión de la IA en periodoncia.

Objetivo del estudio:

Comparar la precisión de las respuestas de periodoncia de ChatGPT-4, ChatGPT-4.0o, Google Gemini 1.5 Flash y Google Gemini 1.5 Pro.; Evaluar el rendimiento de los chatbots de IA en la provisión de información dental.; Identificar modelos de IA superiores para consultas de periodoncia.

Principales métodos:

Se formularon diez preguntas frecuentes en periodoncia.; Los chatbots de IA (ChatGPT-4, ChatGPT-4.0o, Gemini 1.5 Flash, Gemini 1.5 Pro) respondieron a las preguntas.; Las respuestas fueron evaluadas por 3 expertos dentales utilizando una Puntuación Global de Calidad (GQS) de 5 puntos.

Principales resultados:

Google Gemini 1.5 Pro (4.8) y ChatGPT-4.0o (4.6) obtuvieron las puntuaciones GQS promedio más altas.; ChatGPT-4 (3.2) obtuvo una puntuación significativamente más baja que otros modelos de IA.; Gemini 1.5 Flash (4.5) también demostró una alta precisión.

Conclusiones:

ChatGPT-4.0o, Google Gemini 1.5 Flash y Google Gemini 1.5 Pro ofrecen información de periodoncia más precisa que ChatGPT-4.; Los chatbots de IA muestran potencial para responder preguntas dentales, con precisión variable.; Se necesita más investigación para optimizar la IA para la educación del paciente dental.
