Objetivo del estudio:

  • Validar un dispositivo de INR de punto de atención habilitado para Bluetooth para la transferencia rápida de INR a los registros médicos electrónicos.
  • Comparar la precisión de dos dispositivos de INR de punto de atención (Vantus y CoaguChek) con una referencia de INR plasmático.

Principales métodos:

  • Un estudio multicéntrico comparó dos dispositivos comerciales de INR de punto de atención (Vantus, CoaguChek) con una referencia de INR plasmático.
  • Se inscribieron 151 pacientes tratados con warfarina en tres sitios de Mayo Clinic.
  • Se evaluó la idoneidad de las decisiones de dosificación para cada dispositivo.

Principales resultados:

  • Ambos dispositivos Vantus y CoaguChek mostraron alta concordancia con el INR plasmático.
  • El 88,7% de los valores de Vantus y el 86,1% de los valores de CoaguChek cayeron dentro de 0,4 unidades de INR del INR plasmático.
  • Las recomendaciones de dosificación apropiadas fueron similares entre los dispositivos (Vantus 81,7%, CoaguChek 83,4%).

Conclusiones:

  • Los valores de INR de los dispositivos CoaguChek y Vantus se correlacionan fuertemente con el INR plasmático.
  • Estos dispositivos de punto de atención no presentan sesgos sistémicos en comparación con el INR plasmático.
  • Los dispositivos son adecuados para un monitoreo preciso del INR en la gestión de la warfarina.
