Objetivo del estudio:

  • Determinar la necesidad de contracpresión laríngea externa durante la MLS.
  • Introducir un novedoso soporte de laringoscopio diseñado para ayudar con esta presión y mejorar la visualización laríngea.

Principales métodos:

  • Análisis retrospectivo de 452 procedimientos de MLS realizados entre 2018-2019.
  • Se recopilaron datos como datos demográficos del paciente, diagnóstico, necesidad de presión laríngea externa y complicaciones.
  • Desarrollo y presentación de un nuevo soporte de laringoscopio ajustable.

Principales resultados:

  • La presión laríngea externa fue requerida en el 34% de los casos para una exposición laríngea adecuada.
  • Los pacientes varones requirieron presión externa con mayor frecuencia (P=0.007).
  • Las características de la lesión (ubicación, malignidad) no impactaron significativamente la necesidad de presión.

Conclusiones:

  • Una porción significativa de los casos de MLS (34%) requiere presión laríngea externa para una exposición óptima.
  • El soporte de laringoscopio ajustable presentado ofrece una solución para la aplicación consistente de presión externa.
  • Este dispositivo tiene el potencial de mejorar la visualización de las cuerdas vocales durante la cirugía microlaringea.
