  • Diseñar e implementar un programa de simulación in situ interprofesional.; Alinear el contenido de la simulación con los errores específicos de la unidad para mejorar la seguridad del paciente.; Evaluar el impacto del programa en las percepciones de seguridad del paciente y las tasas de error.

Principales métodos:

  • Se realizó un estudio prospectivo basado en encuestas en un centro de atención terciaria pediátrica.; Se revisaron informes de incidentes para identificar errores frecuentes y graves (p. ej., soluciones IV, alimentación enteral, transcripción de medicamentos, infiltración IV).; Se llevaron a cabo ocho simulaciones in situ durante 8 meses, con participantes que incluyeron residentes, enfermeras, farmacéuticos y médicos.

Principales resultados:

  • La revisión de 329 informes de incidentes identificó cuatro tipos de errores clave.; Se logró una tasa de participación del 86% y una tasa de respuesta a la encuesta del 65%.; El 86% de los participantes informaron positivamente sobre el potencial del programa para mejorar la seguridad del paciente, con una tendencia a la reducción de los errores médicos específicos.

Conclusiones:
