La tomografía computarizada de alta resolución (TCAR) ayuda a diagnosticar enfermedades pulmonares intersticiales (EPI) analizando pequeños nódulos pulmonares. Los nódulos se clasifican en patrones perilinfáticos, centrolobulillares y aleatorios para identificar EPI específicas.
