Sus antecedentes:

  • Las pruebas de lípidos posprandiales son un marcador reconocido de la salud vascular.; El vínculo entre la dislipidemia posprandial y la disfunción eréctil (DE) está poco estudiado.; La dislipidemia aislada posprandial (DAP) puede pasar desapercibida en las pruebas en ayunas a pesar de los riesgos aterogénicos.

Objetivo del estudio:

  • Investigar la asociación entre la DAP y la función eréctil.; Comparar la prevalencia y la gravedad de la DE en hombres con DAP, dislipidemia combinada (CD) y sin dislipidemia (WD).

Principales métodos:

  • Estudio transversal de 351 hombres de ≥18 años.; Inclusión de pruebas de lípidos en ayunas y posprandiales el mismo día y cuestionario IIEF-EF para la función eréctil.; Categorización en grupos WD, DAP y CD según criterios de dislipidemia; análisis de regresión logística multivariante.

Principales resultados:

  • La prevalencia de DE fue significativamente mayor en los grupos con DAP (55,1%) y CD (57,0%) en comparación con el grupo sin dislipidemia (WD, 32,8%).; Las puntuaciones medianas del IIEF-EF fueron más bajas en los grupos con DAP y CD en comparación con el grupo WD, con diferencias estadísticamente significativas y clínicamente relevantes.; Los análisis ajustados mostraron un aumento de las probabilidades de DE en los grupos con DAP y CD en comparación con el grupo WD; la gravedad de la DE también fue mayor.

Conclusiones:

  • La DAP se asocia tanto con la prevalencia como con la gravedad de la DE, de forma similar a la dislipidemia crónica.; Las pruebas de lípidos posprandiales pueden identificar riesgos metabólicos relevantes para la salud sexual.; Se recomienda la consideración de las pruebas de lípidos posprandiales en las evaluaciones de DE.
