  • Los currículos enfrentan limitaciones de tiempo, éticas y de recursos, lo que requiere suplementos digitales para la instrucción de anatomía.
  • La investigación existente sobre herramientas digitales de anatomía a menudo carece de integración con la prosección práctica.
  • Existe una brecha en la alineación de los módulos digitales interactivos con las experiencias de prosección cadavérica.

Objetivo del estudio:

  • Introducir una plataforma integrada y alineada con el currículo para el aprendizaje cadavérico autodirigido.
  • Cerrar la brecha entre los recursos digitales y la prosección tradicional en la educación de anatomía.

Principales métodos:

  • Se desarrolló "Anatomy Interactives", un manual basado en web que complementa los laboratorios de prosección para estudiantes de MD, DPT y PA.
  • Los módulos presentaban imágenes interactivas, fotos de donantes y autoevaluaciones, utilizados antes, durante o después de las sesiones de laboratorio.
  • Se compararon las puntuaciones de los exámenes entre una cohorte de 2023 (sin acceso al módulo) y una cohorte de 2024 (con acceso al módulo).

Principales resultados:

  • 147 estudiantes (31 PA/DPT, 116 MD) informaron usar los módulos 1-2 horas por semana, encontrándolos beneficiosos para los exámenes.
  • Los estudiantes de MD en la cohorte de 2024 mostraron un mejor rendimiento en todos los exámenes en comparación con la cohorte de 2023.
  • Se observaron mejoras estadísticamente significativas en dos medianas de exámenes (Mann-Whitney U, P<.001).

Conclusiones:

  • Los módulos digitales integrados con la prosección mejoraron la participación del estudiante y el rendimiento académico.
  • Este modelo híbrido digital-donante es un enfoque prometedor para la educación en anatomía macroscópica escalable y centrada en el alumno.
  • Las herramientas interactivas pueden complementar eficazmente los métodos tradicionales de enseñanza de la anatomía.
