- El maltrato infantil (MI) a menudo conduce a síntomas depresivos y de desafío agresivo coexistentes. Las relaciones específicas y la direccionalidad de estos síntomas en diferentes subtipos de MI siguen sin estar claras.
Objetivo del estudio:
- Investigar la red de síntomas y la direccionalidad de los síntomas depresivos y de desafío agresivo en niños que experimentan abuso físico, abuso emocional y negligencia en Corea del Sur.
Principales métodos:
- Análisis de datos transversales de 3384 niños identificados como víctimas de MI. Modelos gráficos gaussianos para identificar síntomas centrales y de conexión para cada subtipo de MI. Diagramas de red dirigidos (DAG) para inferir la direccionalidad de los síntomas.
Principales resultados:
- Los síntomas de ira fueron prevalentes en todos los subtipos de maltrato infantil (MI). El autoconcepto negativo fue central en el abuso físico/emocional; el estado de ánimo depresivo/la retroalimentación interpersonal negativa fueron clave en la negligencia. La irritabilidad conectó consistentemente los síntomas depresivos y agresivos; la retroalimentación interpersonal negativa también conectó el abuso emocional y la negligencia.
Conclusiones:
- El subtipo de maltrato infantil altera significativamente la interacción y la direccionalidad de los síntomas depresivos y de desafío agresivo. La focalización en los síntomas centrales y de conexión ofrece una vía para desarrollar intervenciones más personalizadas.
