Resumen

Un varón de 15 años con regurgitación pulmonar grave recibió una implantación exitosa del stent Alterra Adaptive Prestent a través de la vena yugular derecha debido a la obstrucción de las venas femorales. Este caso destaca una vía de acceso venoso alternativa viable para la implantación de dispositivos cardíacos.

Sus antecedentes:

  • La regurgitación pulmonar grave presenta importantes desafíos de manejo.
  • La oclusión bilateral de la vena femoral presenta una barrera anatómica compleja para las intervenciones estándar.
  • El acceso venoso transyugular es una ruta alternativa para los procedimientos cardiovasculares.

Objetivo del estudio:

  • Describir un nuevo enfoque para la implantación de dispositivos cardíacos en un paciente con anatomía venosa desafiante.
  • Informar sobre el uso exitoso del stent Alterra Adaptive Prestent en un paciente pediátrico.
  • Demostrar la viabilidad del acceso a la vena yugular derecha para el manejo de la regurgitación pulmonar.

Principales métodos:

  • Informe de caso de un varón de 15 años con regurgitación pulmonar grave.
  • Implantación exitosa de un stent Alterra Adaptive Prestent.
  • Se utilizó acceso a la vena yugular derecha debido a oclusión bilateral de la vena femoral.

Principales resultados:

  • El stent Alterra Adaptive Prestent se implantó con éxito a través de la vena yugular derecha.

  • La implantación transyugular exitosa demuestra la versatilidad del sistema Alterra Adaptive Prestent.
