La distonía de embocadura (DE) afecta significativamente más la capacidad de tocar de los músicos que la distonía de mano del músico (DHM). Los pacientes con DE experimentan peores resultados y menos opciones de tratamiento, lo que resalta la necesidad urgente de nuevas terapias.
Conclusiones:
- La distonía de embocadura tiene un peor pronóstico que la distonía de mano del músico.
- El aumento de la participación muscular en la DE y las estrategias compensatorias limitadas contribuyen a peores resultados.
- Existe una necesidad urgente de estrategias terapéuticas novedosas para músicos con distonía de embocadura.
