Sus antecedentes:

Objetivo del estudio:
- Desarrollar y aplicar un marco novedoso para evaluar la eficiencia del reciclaje de residuos plásticos en Canadá de 2012 a 2021.
- Introducir tres nuevos indicadores: Tasa de Desviación Primaria (PDR), Eficiencia del Procesador Primario (EPP) y Eficiencia del Procesador Final (EFP).
- Crear un indicador compuesto, Eficiencia del Sistema de Reciclaje de Plásticos (EPRS), para una evaluación holística.
Principales métodos:
- Se clasificaron los plásticos en grupos Bajo, Medio y Alto según los volúmenes de reciclaje canadienses.
- Se analizaron las tendencias en PDR, EPP y EFP en diferentes grupos de plásticos y tipos de resina.
- Se calculó el indicador compuesto EPRS para representar la eficiencia general del sistema.
Principales resultados:
- Los grupos de plásticos Alto y Medio mostraron una PDR creciente, pero el grupo Bajo disminuyó, lo que indica desafíos de desviación.
