Tactile senses encompass touch, temperature, and pain, each mediated by specific receptors. Touch receptors detect mechanical energy or pressure against the skin. Sus antecedentes:

Objetivo del estudio:

  • Investigar si los mecanismos que procesan la distancia entre dos toques se superponen con los de la percepción de objetos continuos.
  • Determinar la etapa de procesamiento táctil involucrada en estas distintas tareas perceptivas utilizando efectos posteriores de adaptación.

Principales métodos:

  • Experimento 1: Adaptación a distancias de dos puntos y evaluación de efectos posteriores tanto en la percepción de dos puntos como en la de objetos continuos.
  • Experimento 2: Adaptación a objetos continuos y evaluación de los efectos en la percepción de la distancia.

Conclusiones:
