Resumen
Los taninos de la madera de castaño prometen ser alternativas a los antibióticos en la alimentación animal al quelar eficazmente los iones de hierro. Este estudio modela su unión, confirmando su potencial para aplicaciones antibacterianas.
Conclusiones:
- Las roburinas A y D quelan eficazmente los iones Fe(II).
- El modelo desarrollado predice con precisión las interacciones elagitanino-ión metálico.
- Estos hallazgos respaldan el potencial de los elagitaninos como agentes antibacterianos naturales y sustitutos de antibióticos en la agricultura.
