La expresión génica del interferón tipo I (IFN-I) está elevada en pacientes con lupus eritematoso sistémico (LES) y complicaciones oculares. Este hallazgo sugiere que el IFN-I puede contribuir al desarrollo de problemas oculares en pacientes con LES.
