La estimulación magnética transcraneal repetitiva (rTMS) dirigida a la corteza orbitofrontal (COF) derecha redujo eficazmente los síntomas de ansiedad en pacientes con esquizofrenia de primer episodio (FEP). Este enfoque no farmacológico muestra ser prometedor para el manejo de la ansiedad en esta población.
Conclusiones:
- La rTMS de la COF derecha demuestra eficacia en la mejora de los síntomas de ansiedad en pacientes con FEP.
- El tratamiento no mostró efectos específicos sobre los síntomas depresivos generales.
- La rTMS de la COF derecha representa una opción de tratamiento no farmacológica dirigida prometedora para la ansiedad en la FEP.
