Sus antecedentes:

  • Los programas de intervención de violencia (VIP) basados en hospitales muestran ser prometedores pero enfrentan limitaciones debido a restricciones de tiempo y prácticas ineficientes.
  • Los profesionales de prevención de la violencia (VPP) actúan como administradores de casos, conectando a los supervivientes con recursos esenciales.
  • Las aplicaciones de salud móvil (mHealth) existentes no están diseñadas específicamente para las poblaciones vulnerables atendidas por los VIP.

Objetivo del estudio:

  • Diseñar una aplicación de mHealth adaptada a las necesidades de los VPP y los supervivientes de la violencia.
  • Mejorar la comunicación y la accesibilidad de los recursos entre los VPP y los clientes.
  • Aprovechar el diseño centrado en el ser humano (HCD) y la creación de prototipos iterativos para el desarrollo de aplicaciones.

Principales métodos:

  • Se empleó la metodología HCD, incluyendo Diseño Participativo, Pruebas de Prototipos de Baja Fidelidad y Pruebas de Prototipos de Alta Fidelidad (RITE).
  • Se realizaron entrevistas en profundidad y sesiones de codiseño con VPP para informar las iteraciones de diseño.
  • Se utilizó análisis cualitativo inductivo para interpretar los comentarios y refinar el diseño de la aplicación mHealth.

Principales resultados:

  • El Diseño Participativo identificó temas clave: confianza, conexión personal, recursos personalizados y gestión de la carga administrativa.
  • La prueba del prototipo reveló temas adicionales: diseño intuitivo, seguimiento del progreso, lenguaje estandarizado, control de límites, celebración de éxitos, empoderamiento del cliente y entrega cálida.
  • El método de Pruebas y Evaluación Iterativas Rápidas (RITE) logró una relación de impacto del 73%, abordando 133 de los 181 problemas de usabilidad identificados.

Conclusiones:

  • El enfoque integrado HCD y RITE creó con éxito una aplicación mHealth específicamente para VPP que apoyan a supervivientes de violencia.
  • La aplicación desarrollada aborda necesidades críticas identificadas por los VPP, mejorando la gestión de casos.
  • Esta metodología ofrece un modelo transferible para desarrollar soluciones mHealth para otras poblaciones especializadas.
