Resumen

Este estudio presenta LATTE, un nuevo marco para el reconocimiento del habla disártrico en tiempo real. Mejora significativamente la precisión de la transcripción del habla deteriorada, mejorando la accesibilidad de la comunicación.

Sus antecedentes:

La disartría, un trastorno del habla motora, afecta gravemente la comunicación.
Los sistemas convencionales de reconocimiento automático del habla (ASR, por sus siglas en inglés) luchan con el habla disártrico, especialmente en casos graves.
Existe la necesidad de soluciones avanzadas de ASR adaptadas a la discapacidad del habla.

Objetivo del estudio:

Desarrollar y evaluar un marco de baja latencia para el reconocimiento del habla disártrico en tiempo real.
Mejorar la precisión y accesibilidad de la ASR para las personas con disartritis.
Proporcionar una base sólida para aplicaciones digitales y entornos interactivos que manejen problemas del habla.

Principales métodos:

Introducción del marco de transcripción acústica de baja latencia y codificación textual (LATTE).
Integración del preprocesamiento, el procesamiento acústico y el mapeo de transcripción en una tubería unificada.
Utilización de una arquitectura híbrida que combina capas temporales convolucionales y bidireccionales para la extracción de características y el modelado de dependencias temporales.

Principales resultados:

LATTE logró una tasa de error de palabra (WER) del 12,5% en el conjunto de datos UA-Speech.
La tasa de error de fonemas (PER) se registró en un 8,3%, y la tasa de error de caracteres (CER) en un 1%.
Se ha demostrado una transcripción precisa y de baja latencia del habla disártrico.

Conclusiones:

LATTE ofrece un avance significativo en la ASR en tiempo real para el habla disártrico.
El marco mejora la comunicación y la accesibilidad para las personas con discapacidades del habla.
LATTE proporciona una base para mejorar la interacción hombre-computadora en diversas aplicaciones.
