Resumen
Los fragmentos metálicos de los proyectiles modernos son altamente citotóxicos, liberando óxidos metálicos tóxicos que dañan las células. Las placas de titanio, sin embargo, demuestran biocompatibilidad y son adecuadas para implantes quirúrgicos.
