    • Los sensores en el vehículo registraron pasivamente el comportamiento de conducción durante 12 semanas.

    Principales resultados:

    • Se analizaron un total de 295.112 giros.
    • Un mayor deterioro cognitivo en el seguimiento se asoció significativamente con una menor probabilidad de realizar giros a la izquierda (OR = 0,984, P = 0,037).
    • Esto sugiere que la evitación de los giros a la izquierda puede ser un marcador de deterioro cognitivo.

    Conclusiones:

    • La evitación de los giros a la izquierda en conductores de edad avanzada puede servir como un signo conductual temprano de deterioro cognitivo.
    • Los datos pasivos de conducción pueden detectar cambios funcionales, lo que ayuda a las intervenciones oportunas.
    • Se requiere una mayor investigación para establecer umbrales clínicos para el monitoreo de las tendencias de frecuencia de los giros a la izquierda.
