Many cellular signals are hydrophilic and therefore cannot pass through the plasma membrane. However, small or hydrophobic signaling molecules can cross the hydrophobic core of the plasma membrane and bind to internal, or intracellular, receptors that reside within the cell. Sus antecedentes:

La evaluación del conocimiento de estrategias de crianza basadas en evidencia es crucial para los programas de intervención.
Se necesitan herramientas eficaces para la medición escalable y precisa del conocimiento de los padres.
El aumento del conocimiento de los padres es un objetivo clave para muchas iniciativas de intervención.

Objetivo del estudio:

Desarrollar y evaluar una versión de prueba adaptativa computarizada (CAT) del Módulo de Internalización de la Prueba de Conocimiento de Crianza Efectiva (KEPT-I).
Evaluar las propiedades psicométricas y la eficiencia de la KEPT-I CAT.
Comparar la KEPT-I CAT con la KEPT-I de formato completo y una versión estática breve (KEPT-I Brief).

Principales métodos:

Se emplearon simulaciones de pruebas adaptativas computarizadas.
Se utilizó un gran conjunto de datos nacional (n=1000) para las simulaciones.
El rendimiento de la KEPT-I CAT se comparó con la KEPT-I completa y la KEPT-I Brief.

Principales resultados:

La KEPT-I CAT demostró una eficiencia comparable a la KEPT-I Brief de 10 ítems.
La KEPT-I CAT exhibió propiedades psicométricas superiores en comparación con la forma breve.
La KEPT-I CAT redujo modestamente el potencial de efectos de práctica.

Conclusiones:

La KEPT-I CAT es una herramienta muy eficiente y psicométricamente sólida para evaluar el conocimiento de los padres.
Sus ventajas la hacen adecuada para las evaluaciones posteriores a la intervención.
La KEPT-I CAT puede facilitar la investigación sobre la relación entre el conocimiento de los padres, el comportamiento y los síntomas internalizantes infantiles.
