La benzocaína (BEN) y el clorhidrato de lidocaína (LDCA) muestran efectos anestésicos comparables en la punta de la lengua. Este estudio comparó su impacto en la función sensorial, sugiriendo que la BEN puede ser una opción viable para el tratamiento del síndrome de ardor bucal (SAB).
Conclusiones:
- La LDCA al 2% y la BEN al 20% demuestran efectos anestésicos comparables en la función sensorial de la punta de la lengua sana.
- La benzocaína (BEN) puede servir como un tratamiento alternativo o adyuvante viable para afecciones como el síndrome de ardor bucal (SAB).
- Se necesita más investigación para confirmar estos hallazgos en pacientes con SAB.
