Sus antecedentes:

  • La integración de los horarios de los médicos primarios y consultores en las historias clínicas electrónicas (HCE) de los pacientes hospitalizados es crucial para una atención eficiente al paciente.
  • Los sistemas existentes a menudo carecen de una conectividad fluida, lo que dificulta el acceso en tiempo real a la información del proveedor.

Objetivo del estudio:

  • Desarrollar un modelo conceptual y definiciones estandarizadas para integrar los horarios de los médicos hospitalizados en la HCE.
  • Demostrar cómo esta integración apoya la comunicación centrada en el paciente y mejora el flujo de trabajo.

Principales métodos:

  • Se realizó la transición a la HCE Epic, implementando módulos para la integración de horarios.
  • Se desarrolló una herramienta de mapeo para la extracción, transformación y carga de datos de sistemas de programación externos.
  • Se mapearon más de 2000 turnos a casi 700 equipos en 15 instalaciones.

Principales resultados:

  • Se logró una alta utilización con un promedio de 6500 búsquedas diarias de proveedores de guardia posteriores a la implementación.
  • Se desarrolló un modelo conceptual que define 11 términos clave para la programación de proveedores hospitalizados.
  • Se integraron con éxito datos de programación en tiempo real en la HCE.

Conclusiones:

  • Las definiciones y el modelo conceptual desarrollados representan eficazmente el dominio de la programación de proveedores hospitalizados.
  • La terminología estandarizada facilita la integración de los datos de programación en las HCE, promoviendo la interoperabilidad.
  • La alta utilización y las bajas tasas de defectos validan la exitosa implementación.
