Objetivo del estudio:

  • Establecer intervalos de referencia para la FA total en adultos utilizando métodos de laboratorio comunes.
  • Comparar los IR de FA entre diferentes plataformas analíticas.
  • Implementar un IR estandarizado para la FA total en la práctica clínica.

Principales métodos:

  • Estudio transversal que involucra a donantes de sangre y pacientes de atención primaria en el norte de Dinamarca.
  • Niveles de FA medidos en las plataformas Alinity, Atellica y Cobas utilizando métodos enzimáticos.
  • IR no paramétricos determinados utilizando los percentiles 2.5 y 97.5, con exclusión de valores atípicos.
  • El análisis incluyó métodos con y sin factores de corrección para Alinity.

Principales resultados:

  • Los IR establecidos variaron ligeramente entre los métodos antes de la corrección.
  • Después de aplicar un factor de corrección al método Alinity, los IR se volvieron en gran medida consistentes.
  • Se implementó un IR uniforme de 40-120 UI/L en la región.

Conclusiones:

  • Un intervalo de referencia uniforme de 40-120 UI/L para la FA total es confiable en los métodos de laboratorio de uso común.
  • Los factores de corrección específicos del método, como para Alinity, mejoran la consistencia.
  • Los IR estandarizados mejoran la precisión diagnóstica y la atención al paciente para trastornos hepáticos y óseos.
