  • Desarrollar y evaluar psicométricamente la escala de conexión social en residentes de hogares de ancianos (SONNET).
  • Proporcionar una medida confiable y válida para evaluar la conexión social en residentes de hogares de ancianos.

Principales métodos:

  • Desarrollo de un modelo conceptual, revisión de literatura y entrevistas cualitativas para identificar ítems.
  • Pruebas piloto y de campo con la participación de pacientes y el público para su refinamiento.
  • Evaluación psicométrica (factibilidad, aceptabilidad, confiabilidad, validez) en 52 díadas de residentes-personal de hogares de ancianos en el Reino Unido y Canadá.

Principales resultados:

  • Se desarrolló la escala SONNET de 12 ítems, que evalúa el compromiso social y la conexión social.
  • Están disponibles las versiones de calificación por parte del residente y por parte de un representante.
  • Los hallazgos preliminares indican que la escala SONNET es factible, aceptable, confiable y válida.

Conclusiones:

  • La escala SONNET es un nuevo y prometedor instrumento para medir la conexión social en residentes de hogares de ancianos.
