Sus antecedentes:

  • La procrastinación es un problema prevalente que afecta la salud mental y el funcionamiento diario de los adultos.
  • Las intervenciones en línea ofrecen una solución escalable y accesible para el apoyo a la salud mental.
  • La investigación existente destaca la necesidad de herramientas digitales efectivas para manejar la procrastinación.

Objetivo del estudio:

  • Evaluar la eficacia de un programa de intervención en línea de autoayuda para la procrastinación (OPSI) para adultos.
  • Evaluar el impacto de OPSI en los comportamientos de procrastinación, el estrés percibido, la depresión y la ansiedad.
  • Determinar la viabilidad y la adherencia del programa OPSI.

Principales métodos:

  • Diseño de ensayo controlado aleatorizado (ECA) con 66 participantes adultos diagnosticados con procrastinación.
  • Los participantes fueron asignados al grupo de intervención (OPSI de 12 semanas) o a un grupo de control en lista de espera.
  • Se midieron la procrastinación, el estrés percibido, la depresión y la ansiedad al inicio, a las 6 semanas y a las 12 semanas posteriores a la intervención.

Principales resultados:

  • El grupo de intervención mostró una disminución significativa en la procrastinación en comparación con el grupo de control (p < .001).
  • Los participantes en el grupo de intervención experimentaron una reducción significativa del estrés percibido (p < .01).
  • El programa OPSI demostró viabilidad y buena adherencia entre los participantes.

Conclusiones:

  • Las intervenciones de autoayuda en línea como OPSI son efectivas para reducir la procrastinación y el estrés percibido en adultos.
  • Las soluciones digitales de salud mental proporcionan un enfoque accesible y escalable para el manejo de la procrastinación.
  • OPSI apoya la promoción de la salud mental de los adultos a través de intervenciones digitales accesibles.
