Resumen

- Un subconjunto de pacientes jóvenes con diabetes química puede lograr una remisión significativa y duradera con clorpropamida (una sulfonilurea).
- Esto sugiere que la terapia con sulfonilurea puede ser una opción viable para inducir la remisión a largo plazo en poblaciones específicas de diabetes juvenil.
- Se requiere más investigación para identificar predictores para una remisión exitosa en este grupo demográfico.
