  • 大規模なフィールド実験で 誠実さに関する予測を テストするためです
  • 失われたアイテムの返還に影響を与える要因を特定する.

主な方法:

  • 40カ国の355都市で "失われた"財布1万7千枚以上を対象に 現場実験を行いました
  • 財布の中にあったお金の量は 様々でした
  • 返品された財布が受信者に連絡された割合を測定します.

主要な成果:

  • 財布にあるお金の量と その返還の確率との間に 顕著な正の相関関係が見られました
  • この発見は一般市民と経済学者にとって直感に反していた.
  • 虚偽の金銭的インセンティブは 収益率を高めたのです

結論:

  • 純粋な経済的利己主義を超えた要因が 市民の誠実さに影響します 利他主義や自己認識などです
  • 不 誠実 で 得る 物質 的 な 利益 に よっ て,自分 を 泥棒 と し て 見る こと を 避け たい と いう 願望 は 増大 し ます.
  • 結果は従来の経済モデルに 異議を唱え 複雑な人間の動機を強調しています
