¹Alias Mahmud is an associate professor at the Faculty of Technology and Applied Sciences, Open University of Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Zulhelmi Abdullah is a chief assistant medical officer at the Ministry of Health in Malaysia. Mustafa Abdul Majid is the president of the Malaysian Association of Medical Assistants (MAMA). Mansor J.A. Fenner Aziz is the deputy president of the MAMA. Scott Smalley is the president of the International Academy of Physician Associate Educators and the prior academic head of the Division of Clinical Associates at the University of Witwatersrand, Faculty of Health Sciences in Johannesburg, South Africa. Mary Showstark is a former adjunct assistant professor at the Yale Online Physician Assistant Program in New Haven, Conn.
